Video Upload Issue

Hi,

Having a bit of trouble uploading video.  Things seem to have stalled at ‘Step 3 – The video is being converted to a web friendly format.’.

I’ve followed the on screen instructions to restart and refresh but there is still 0% on the progress bar.

  Hi,

  Could you send me a few more bits of information and ill get our web team to investigate.

  Go to www.thismachine.info and send me your system (inc browser etc) details.

  What was the type of video file? Eg mp4

  What was the original file name that you uploaded? 

  Hopefully we can sort the issue ASAP.

  Hi Mark,

  Thanks for getting back to me.

   My computer info:

  Using Internet Explorer 8

  Using Windows XP

  IP address 77.99.121.21 (not sure if you need this?)

   

  The original file name is Blades V Warriors and it was a 10min clip cut from a video in real player.

  We have tried a lot of tools to convert or see the video, including but not limited to realplayer, vlc, Daum pot player and ffmpeg. 

  Unfortunately it seems the video isn't playable. To be more specific, it doesn't have a pixel format specified. 

  Please confirm if the user can play the video on his local computer.

  It really does seem that file has been corrupted, are you definitely checking the file you are trying to upload?
  
  We have had users in the past only checking the original file and not the file after either cutting or converting.

  Sorry Mark,  I was only checking the original file and not the file I had cut and then tried to upload. This file is not playing on my computer so I must have done something wrong when trying to cut it. 

  I will try again and let you know if I have any further issues, thanks for your help.

  I have been trying to upload videos all weekend but keep getting an I/O Error during the upload. I have converted the video to H264 DV widescreen is this the best and how can I sort this issue out

  Hi Scott,

  Thanks for getting in touch and hopefully I can sort this for you.

  I see that you have managed to upload to the site before and the file type is spot on so shouldn't be causing any problems.

  Looking at your browser and computer info I dont see a problem there, although you could do with updating your firefox version Click Here. An I/O error means an In/Out error and is regarding your internet connection. Sometimes on a wireless router the connection can be broken and this causes the I/O error.

  Are you uploading from a different point in the house or a different location? Are you mobile whilst uploading?

  To guarantee this doesn't happen then you would need to plug into your router, however this is often not practical, check out this help section on I/O Errors, let me know how you get on.

  Hi

  I have a issue viewing 2 of my teams videos

  when I click on view it says "Error loading player: No playable sources found"

  I did not shoot the video so I do not know what video file was used

  Please Advise
